Bouvier des Flandres and Rat Terriers
I was first introduced to both Breeds by my husband who had them before he moved to Washington State from Michigan.  So before we ever met.

When we met i had an Irish Wolfhound who was a great dog.

When my Wolfhound passed, Pateick convinced me we should get a Bouvier. And i got hooked onnthe breed!

while Patrick had never had a Rat Terrier he was fascinated with them after seeong them used to hunt wharf rats on the docks and hearing stories.
When we decoded we needed a small dog to add to our family we looked and found a Rat Terrier.
These dogs are perfect companioms - sturdy,  healthy and low maintenance!
About the Rat Terrier

As a Breeder, we need to keep younger dogs to work with, train, show and grow up to see if they fit our breeding goals.

Sometimes this means we have older puppies available who are lovely - just not the right fit at this time.

While our time, effort and work could be seen as a loss - it is a win!  It is a win for us in that we can see what our breedings are producing and a win that we know we have dogs that fit our goals.

It is a win for the Right Person, as they get the opportunity to get a dog that has training, is well started and usually past the puppy stage.  We know more about the pup at an older age than we could possible know at 8 weeks!  Pricing on older pups is usually the same as for a baby pup - even though they have all that extra training, foundation and work.  So they are a real gem if a started pup is a better fit for you.

We also sometimes retire our Breeding dogs.  This is a chance to get an older dog who is fully health screened and a good example of the breed!  Again, it is a well socialized dog with a clean health history, ready for new adventures.

Ferdinand - 6 Month old Male Puppy (Bravo x Celeste)

Ferdinand is a lovely, forward pup with a great attitude.  Well started, crate trained and good "clicker" foundation.  He is ready for more individual attention!

The Bouvier des Flandres
Originally from the Flandres region of Europe, this strong, steady dog has served many rolls.

Bred as a multipurpose Farm Dog on small farms where everyone is expected to have multiple jobs, the Bouvier has been used for herding, carting and other rolls - but the primary roll was always home gaurdian.
The Bouvier des Flandres has served as a police and army K9 as well as a beloved family companion.
